We are offering a 6 -12 month Operational Risk Analyst and System Support position on a Fixed Term Contract (with the option to make permanent) which will give you a fantastic insight into the inner working of our European operation and what the aviation industry can offer you in your career.

In your role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management and analysis of operational risk data within the region. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, technical expertise and operational risk management knowledge. You will be involved in maintaining, developing and administering the systems used for collecting, storing, and analysing operational risk data, as well as providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance risk management processes.

Furthermore, you will be involved in the day to day support of our extensive European network to ensure continuous improvement and develop your skills and knowledge in risk management.

This is a fixed term contract for 6-12 months based in Amsterdam. 

Main Accountabilities

We are looking for individuals who want to further their knowledge of the ground handling sector & risk management and to see the complex inner workings of an international aviation organisation. As this role will be supporting a global business, we are looking for individuals who are interested in complex operational Risk & IT projects and enjoy working with multiple stakeholders at all levels.

Develop ways through the use of business intelligence tools to analyse and present data at station and regional level. Conduct thorough analysis of operational risk data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern. Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting assistance to ensure smooth operation of risk management systems. Assist in the development and maintenance of risk management policies and procedures. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on system functionality and best practices. Contribute to risk management projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall effectiveness of operational risk and compliance. (Internal MA or collaborative projects with airlines) Participate in audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

Currently recently graduated (or due to graduate) Aviation related degree or similar Coursework or experience in safety management systems (SMS), risk assessment, or aviation operations is highly desirable. You will have the full Right to Work within the EU. Interested in IT systems and analysing data. Interested in Risk Management (Safety, Security, Quality, Environmental) Confident in written and spoken English, other languages considered an advantage. Passionate about aviation Analytical, structured, detailed orientated Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail PC literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Power Apps, PowerBI). Any IT / business intelligence tools is a plus. Good with interpersonal skills & communication skills Committed and disciplined. Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities. Ability to work in a team and use own initiative. Looking to build a career with Menzies Aviation.
