About the team


ITIL Service Asset and Configuration Management aims to maintain information about Configuration Items required to deliver an IT service, including their relationships. The role has overall accountability for the control of all IT assets and related process management and is responsible for the work across the Configuration Management function including Asset Management and License management, and collaboration with Site Managers, Stakeholders, Resolver teams and Service Providers. They will focus on the management of Asset and CI data, business services and relationships, license management, discovery activities and critical failure impact analyses required to deliver IT services and value to the business.

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for the creation, approval and management of the work instructions for the client
  • Responsible for implementing the defined SACM processes, procedures, policies, work instructions, knowledge articles, and completion of business plans as required;
  • Ensures the proper processes and practices for configuration management are used;
  • Updates and administers the CMDB, tracking life cycle of all assets, including bulk data uploads, monitoring and reconciling changes in inventory;
  • Ensures data for asset receipt and decommissioning is captured and recorded, liaising with the Data center Manager and Receivers;
  • Performs spot checks to ensure process and system quality and resolving any SACM exceptions;
  • Accountable for asset audits, including audit reporting, and managing the plan to address findings;
  • Liaises with service towers, operational teams and finance to ensure the interlocks are working as defined and the required data is provided, managing the collection and recording of CI and asset data, and verifying financial data (e.g., leased, depreciated or expensed);
  • Maintains supplier records, service level agreements, CI information and updates;
  • Develops training material and presentations and trains project and operational personnel in the requirements for configuration management and the procedures to be followed;
  • Ensures that KPIS, SLAs and OLS are met including the provision of the monthly statistics and reports and a continual service improvement plan;
  • Supports transition to new tools including liaison with the tools team and data migration.

What you bring

  • Knowledge of FIS’ products and services
  • Experience in service asset and configuration management
  • Understands and can apply asset and configuration management concepts to a complex estate including the management of service integration for 3rd party service providers
  • Knowledge of the ServiceNow tool would be preferable
  • Knowledge and experience with Service Integration and Management including a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and application technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Strong organizational skills and creative problem solving abilities
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within all levels of the company
