We are currently recruiting for a Vice President, Strategic Planning for our Planning Division in Amsterdam.

The MBE subsidiary based in The Netherlands is a network of branches (Germany Branch (Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Spain Branch (Madrid, Barcelona), Belgium Branch (Brussels), Austria Branch (Vienna)), managed from Amsterdam.
Your impact at MUFG
Design MBE wide business strategy and plan, and create subsequent strategic initiatives to pursue the corporate vision of MBE and to fulfil expectations from various stakeholders. Implement or support implementation of MBE wide strategic initiatives. Identify and assess strategic risks associated with the business strategy, in cooperation with the second line of defence.Function positioning
The role will report to the Division Head, who reports directly into the Chief Strategy and Planning Officer of MBE.
The role includes the following:
Design business model /strategy, and formulate the bank wide business plan in pursuit of achieving all the expectations from various stakeholders for MBE. This needs close communication with Tokyo and London Planning colleagues to align MUFG global strategy. Implement some of the key corporate wide strategic initiatives or support implementation of the initiatives for responsible divisions, playing a role of project manager, ensuring these are delivered on time within the set budget and that all planned business benefits are subsequently captured. Provide MBE management with a wide range of information, proposals, and support to set forth corporate business strategy, plan, and initiatives. Support creating communication strategy and plan for the announcement of the business strategy and plan or to update the progress of the plan and the initiatives. Actively develop and maintain a wide range of contacts both internally and externally in order to obtain / exchange information, identify and establish best practice and where appropriate ascertain further customer requirements. Identify and assess strategic risk associated with the business plan and the initiatives. Introduce appropriate risk management framework, co-working with the functions in the second line of defence, and propose company’s appetite for the captured risks. Ensure compliance with the MUFG’s common & internal rules, standards, and reporting requirements, together with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, where appropriate implementing actions to protect MBE’s at all times. In order to fulfil the assignment, if necessary and allowed, retain contractors or third party consultants and form team to create/submit/offer deliverables.In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Knowledge & skills:
The function requires an intellectual and working background at HBO level. Experience in a similar function or relevant area. Verbal and written business communication skill in English, and preferably the same level of the skill in Japanese. Advanced skill of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Strong spirit of commitment to achieving the target in timely manner with promised quality. Profound knowledge, skills, and experience for the development of corporate/business strategy and project management. Excellent communication skills with relevant parties, including senior leaders in MBE and MUFG colleagues in EMEA/Tokyo to manage and settle issues among various stakeholders and move things forward.Personal requirements:

Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment. 30 vacation days per year. Optional you can buy 15 additional days.
