Als (Blended) Learning Developer draag je initiatieven aan waarmee je onderwijsprogramma’s een kwaliteitsimpuls geeft. Je houdt je bezig met het verder ontwikkelen van individuele vakken, leerlijnen en complete curricula, maar ook met de ondersteuning en professionalisering van docenten. Je buigt je over vragen als: Wat is voor deze module de meest effectieve didactische methode? Wat heeft een docent nodig om zo goed mogelijk les te kunnen geven? Hoe integreer je zelfstudieopdrachten van studenten op een goede manier in een fysiek college? En zijn de leermiddelen in lijn met de leerdoelen?
Samen met docenten kijk je hoe vakken verbeterd kunnen worden, bijvoorbeeld naar aanleiding van studentevaluaties. Als adviseur ben je in staat om goed te luisteren naar ideeën en wensen van docenten, laat je docenten zien wat mogelijk is en help je ze met het (her-)ontwerp van hun onderwijs en het inzetten van onderwijstools. Je bent daarnaast in staat om docenten(teams) te begeleiden bij het ontwikkelen van vakken, programma’s en innovatieprojecten. Hierbij schakel je gemakkelijk tussen de rol van adviseur, projectmanager, coördinator en hands-on ondersteuner. Zo help je bij het verbeteren van het onderwijs en draag je bij aan onderwijsvernieuwingen. Naast het begeleiden van docenten adviseer je het onderwijsmanagement over wat blended learning de TU Delft te bieden heeft. Bovendien ben je een community builder en geef je soms lunchlezingen, workshops, ontwikkel je materialen en ben je betrokken bij innovatieprojecten. Ook bij het koffiezetapparaat creëer je bewustwording rond de meerwaarde van open, online en blended learning. Daarbij manage je de verwachtingen: je bent een promotor, maar kiest wel altijd voor een realistische insteek. De inzet van onderwijstechnologie is een middel om het doel – beter onderwijs – te bereiken en nooit een doel op zich. Je houdt je tenslotte bezig met de coordinatie van het open en online onderwijs op de faculteit, bijvoorbeeld rondom het onwikkelen van MOOCs.
Als learning developer werk je 80% van je tijd in het onderwijsteam van één van onze faculteiten (in dit geval zoeken we iemand voor de faculteit Bouwkunde). Dit team werkt nauw samen met docenten, bachelor- en mastercoördinatoren en de directeur onderwijs. Je gaat de dialoog aan met studenten, de opleidingscommissie en TU-brede werkgroepen. . Je maakt daarnaast deel uit van het team Teaching and Learning Services, de centrale club van onderwijsadviseurs binnen de TU Delft. Met de andere adviseurs wissel je kennis uit, spar je over wat beter kan en leg je de basis voor bijvoorbeeld nieuwe tools waarmee je docenten kunt ondersteunen. In een informele omgeving werk je aan onze missie om impact te maken voor een betere maatschappij door de ingenieurs van de toekomst kwalitatief hoogwaardig onderwijs te bieden. Het TLS Blended team kenmerkt zich door een internationale samenstelling met als voertaal Engels, waarbij kernwaarden zijn: samenwerking, afstemming, gezelligheid, kennis delen, een open feedback houding en willen blijven leren.
Functie-eisen
- Je hebt wo-niveau op het gebied van onderwijskunde, instructional design of educational technology. Dit blijkt uit een relevante opleiding of werkervaring.
- Werkervaring binnen het hoger onderwijs is een pre.
- Je vindt het leuk om het onderwijs met jouw team en met docenten stapsgewijs te verbeteren op verschillende niveaus en manieren.
- Je bent goed bekend met de (on)mogelijkheden van innovatie in het onderwijs en hebt innovatieve ideeën over digitaal en online leren, begeleiden en toetsen. Je bent niet bang om in een tool te duiken en te doorgronden hoe deze voor het onderwijs meerwaarde kan bieden. Je hebt hierbij een hands-om mentaliteit en help je het leven van docenten makkelijker te maken.
- Je kunt gemakkelijk het probleem achter de vraag achterhalen en weet de juiste balans te vinden tussen praktische oplossingen en de ideale situatie.
- Je beweegt gemakkelijk in een grote, complexe organisatie en bent in staat om behoeftes van individuele docenten om te zetten naar oplossingen die de gehele faculteit ten goede komt.
- Je hebt overtuigingskracht, vindt de gulden middenweg bij verschillende belangen en weet docenten te inspireren hun onderwijs steeds te verbeteren.
- Je vindt het leuk om in teamverband en in een internationale omgeving te werken en kunt van het Nederlands vloeiend overschakelen naar het Engels.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
- Het dienstverband is 1 jaar met uitzicht op vast .
- Een functieomvang van 32-40 uur per week.
- Een salaris dat is gebaseerd op schaal 11 uit de CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten met een minimum van €4.332,- en een maximum van €5.929,- bruto per maand op basis van een volledige werkweek (38 uur), plus 8% vakantiegeld en een eindejaarsuitkering van 8,3%.
