Technical Assistance Analyst

Your role
In this role youwill support team members with the administration, financial management and monitoring of individual Technical Assistance (TA) projects and agreements. You are also responsible for portfolio level monitoring of grants, preparing monthly budget overviews, data analytics and reporting for FMO and funding partners.
You will work closely with the Manager, team members and colleagues from other relevant teams and departments, including being the key relationship manager towards FMOs operations (mid-office) department.
You have the following responsibilities:
Administrative support and coordination:
Project administration such as processing internal admin workflows including contract change and disbursement requests, ending notices addressing contractual and payment matters. Quality check and ensuring compliance with grant funding criteria, contract conditions and company policies and regulations. Support to team members in drafting administration documents such as change requests, amendment letters, agreements ending notices. Internal and external reporting and development of creative communication on project achievements and progress ( presentations, briefings, etc.). Serve as liaison between our team and other departments. Support teams that are closely working with our team and processes, especially in support and administration of more standardized grant products (task orders, exchanges, etc.). Support training on policies and templates, provide guidance on processes as needed. Support relationship with TA suppliers and support roll-out of more standardized supplier partnerships. Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other deliverables as required. Generate new ideas and approaches for TA and grant management, research best practices, and proposes new, more effective ways of doing things.Financial Monitoring:
Portfolio budget monitoring (budget vs actuals), portfolio level monitoring and analysis of expenses, commitments, cashflow projections, and forecasting.Procurement:
Support team members in developing project scopes of work, consultant identification, procurement process (including acting as a secretariat in evaluation committees), and contracting, in compliance with funding partner (donor) requirements.Internal change management and knowledge building
Support the implementation of new systems and continuous process improvements ensuring that the teams can adaptively manage at scale.
Our offer
Gross yearly salary (40hrs) of between EUR 47K – 52K (including holiday allowance and 13th month salary), depending on seniority, years of experience and background. Your team
The Technical Assistance team is a diverse team of 11 members that works closely with our investment departments to serve clients in each of our strategic sectors: Financial Institutions, Agribusiness, Food & Water and Energy focusing across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Europe and Central Asia region. In this team we deploy grant and Technical Assistance funding to support our clients with high quality, capacity development services to strengthen organizational or project-related capabilities and providing access to knowledge and networks. Currently, the team originates ~EUR 12 mln of Technical Assistance projects annually. The team works closely together with other teams in the Impact Department: Sustainable Finance Advisory and the Programmatic Technical Assistance team.

You are independent and a self-starter with a hands-on mentality and results-oriented mindset. You have analytical skills, seeing the bigger picture but also with attention to structure and detail.
Education and experience
Master / bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business Administration, etc.) At least 2 years of work experience in similar positions. Evidence of experience in financial management, project coordination or administration required.Your skills and competencies
You should possess strong service-orientation and have eye for detail. You are a critical thinker and have strong problem-solving skills to navigate day-to-day challenges effectively.
