Communications Generalist

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Communications Generalist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a passion for crafting and delivering messages that resonate with our employees and external audiences. As a Communications Generalist, you will play a key role in executing our communications strategies across various channels. This position requires someone with a ‘can do’ attitude and creative mindset who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, adapt to evolving priorities, and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.

Content Creation:

· Develop engaging and persuasive content for a variety of channels, including press releases, social media, website, and internal communications.

· Craft clear and compelling messages that align with the organization's goals and values.

External Communications:

- Facilitate effective communication within the organization, ensuring that employees are informed and engaged.

- Develop and implement internal communication plans for key initiatives.

- Coordinate and execute company-wide communication events.

Employee Engagement and Culture Building:

- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture.

- Collaborate with human resources to develop and execute communication plans related to employee recognition programs, professional development opportunities, and company-wide events.

- Conduct surveys and gather feedback to measure and improve employee satisfaction.

Community Management

- Create and execute social media strategies to enhance engagement on our main communications Channel Workplace.

- Analyse social media metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements.

Internal Communications:

Media Relations:

- Working with external agencies, build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.

- Coordinate and manage media inquiries, interviews, and press events.

- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.

Crisis Communication:

- Execute crisis communication plans to ensure the organisation's ability to respond effectively to unforeseen events, with the support from the Global team.

General:

Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams as well as global and local teams, including marketing, sales, and human resources, to align communication strategies with overall business objectives.

- Collaborate with external partners and agencies to enhance communication initiatives.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Dutch and English is mandatory
  • Another language would be ideal
  • Excellent communication skills
