Our client in Rotterdam is the recognized provider ofanalzer solutions and defines instrumentation standards since 1981.You will be leading 3 subteams, containing 19 FTE intotal.

Functieomschrijving

As a Manager Chemistry you will leading 3 subteams(19 FTE in total), who are focussing on delivering high quality gaschromatographic systems. You will be guiding these teams, enablingthat all conditions are met for your teammembers to workefficiently. The main focus in this position will be on peoplemanagement and providing guidance and support to the teammembers.Also, you will be involved hands-on and help solve complexanalytical problems using your own knowledge of analyticalchemistry and gas chromatography. You will have the followingtasks:

  • Provide strategic direction,vision, and leadership to direct reports including coaching,developing and conducting yearly performance evaluations
  • Analye and plan work force utilization, spacerequirements, workflow and design layout of equipment for optimalefficiency and safety
  • Estimate productionprocess step times, staffing requirements and related costs toprovide information for management decisions
  • Utilize appropriate statistical techniques in processdevelopment to identify and ensure products meet necessarycapabilities
  • Institute process and productimprovements resulting in a positive impact on production cycletime, product costs and product quality

Functie-eisen

Froma Manager Chemistry we ask the following:

  • HLO degree in the field of analytical chemistry with atleast 5 years of relevant experience, plus at least 2 years ofproven project leadership experience
  • Demonstrated technical analysis capabilities includingstatistical analysis, process improvement methodologies, qualityassurance concepts, etc.
  • Working knowledge ofnew product/process introduction methodology andreliability
  • Working experience and knowlegdeof LEAN is a big pré
  • Proficient in IFS orother Oracle based ERP (Preferred), and intermediate to advancedskills in MS excell
  • Technical knowledge oflaboratory equipment within the petrochemical industry is aplus
  • Excellent written and verbalinterpersonal and presentation communication skills inEnglish

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
  • Long term position, which starts with aone year contract directly at the hiring company
  • A salary indication ranging from €6000,- to €6600,-gross/month based on fulltime
  • Fulltimeposition (40 hours)
