Our client Genmab is abiotechnology company specialized in the invention and developmentof new cancer therapies. You will become part of The Discoverydepartment, working in the Target Discovery team. This team worksto find, validate, and understand new antibody drugtargets.
FunctieomschrijvingAs a Senior Research Associate Target Discovery youwill work in a team of Scientists and Research Associates dedicatedto target discovery and validations. In addition to the TargetDiscovery team, you will also work closely with other researchteams, (antibody) technology teams and data science teams in ahighly multidisciplinary way.
- You willperform various types of functional assays using tumor cells andprimary cells to identify and validatetargets.
- Using your up-to-date knowledge of andexperience with assays used in cell biology, oncology, andimmunology, you are responsible for the set-up and accurateexecution of a broad set of in vitro assays, target screens andtarget validation experiments.
- You takeinitiative, set high-quality standards, and keep an eye on ways toimprove your work
- You document and process thetest results, draw conclusions, and report these to theteam
- You are able to understand the fundamentalconcepts behind the assays and will contribute to setting-up new,innovative assays, in close collaboration with ascientist
Forthe position of a Senior Research Associate Target Discovery we arelooking for a bachelor candidate with a minimum of 3 years ofexperience in the field of oncology and/or immunology
- Master candidates who arelooking for a hands-on position are also welcome to apply.Candidates with PhD experience arenot considered for thisposition.
- You have extensiveexperience with flow cytometry, culturing of adherent and primarycells, and various functional cellular assays (viability,co-culture, etc.)
- Experience in 3D cell culturewould be advantageous
- You have hands-onexperience with cell and molecular biology techniques likelentiviral particle generation and transductions, western blotting,ELISA and CRISPR-Cas9
- You are comfortable withmedium-high throughput techniques
- You havestrong communication skills
- As a person you areproactive and driven
Long term position, starting witha one year contract at the hiringcompany
Fulltime position,but 4 days a week is alsopossible
