Position at Wavemaker Are you looking for an exciting, dynamic internship in social media content and marketing? Would you like to work with an international team, on a fantastic new international entertainment brand? Great news – WAVEMAKER is looking for a Social Media intern, to start either in August or September of 2024.Who are WAVEMAKER? WAVEMAKER is a media & content agency, based in Amsterdam. As a business, we deliver award-winning media, tech and content solutions for a huge range of brands, including Mentos, TempoTeam, SkyShowtime, Vodafone/Ziggo, Friesland Campina, Weleda and many more. The social content team is a significant part of the Wavemaker business. The Client You will be an important part of the organic social content team for SkyShowtime, across many European markets, supporting the delivery of large and small social content creation projects across this exciting new entertainment client. SkyShowtime is a new streaming service, launching in 2022 and 2023 in countries such as Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Poland and many more. WAVEMAKER Content works with GroupM agencies across Europe to deliver a full social content strategy. This also extends into activations and live events, as well as influencer campaigns and advanced tech production (artificial intelligence and 3D modelling). Who are you? No wallflower. That's for sure. In social, the whole world can look completely different with 1 update, which sometimes means: changing everything. So, a hands-on mentality is a must. You are aware of the latest social trends, you understand why screen time is so high for people on social media, you are aware of the latest TikTok trends, and nothing makes you happier than creating new content. What are you brilliant at? Understanding Social Media, Culture and Creativity A solid working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok are crucial); Plugged in to social, entertainment and popular culture – you’ll love making content, and understanding why people love the content they do; Appreciation of truly great ideas, and the desire to be an active part of bringing them to life on social media and in real life; You’ll be interested in emerging technologies, such as AI image creation (Midjourney and ChatGPT) and want to learn more about how to use them for real-life brand solutions; People-Powered Curious about people, both in your teams and in the audiences we are trying to reach via our client’s social media accounts; A can-do attitude, with a willingness to jump in as a team to get things done; Able to have ideas about what content to create based on what you believe people would love to see. Basics Resident in Netherlands and able to work from AMS office 2-3 days per week; Photoshop and basic video or motion editing experience is a plus; Excellent English required, Dutch or other European languages also very welcome; Confidence in Microsoft Office suite essential. What We Offer An engaging internship for at least 5 months, for at least 4 days per week from either August or September 2024; Personal support and guidance from a manager throughout your internship; A great brand to immerse yourself in; An informal, dynamic working atmosphere in an agency of almost 120 people in the heart of Amsterdam; An international organisation with many events and perks; Good internship allowance (€450 gross for full-time internship); Interested?
