Your Business Unit is Energy Transition & Sustainable Resources. They are active in the field of raw materials, water and energy transitions, with the aim of improving the quality of life for both current and future generations. With their extensive expertise and skills, they accelerate clients' projects so that they become realized.

They contribute to transitions in raw materials, water and energy systems in; urban areas, industry, transmission, distribution and production. Have the capacity to simplify complex problems and actively involve the environment in the process. You will be part of the Transmission & Distribution team.

What are you going to do?

As T&D (senior) Consultant you will help Transmission & Distribution (T&D) companies in the Netherlands and abroad with their intended network expansions and reinforcements. You will work in a team with various disciplines. Because it is precisely by bringing together both process and various technical experience that we can accelerate our customers' projects. You are driven to make an impact and realize projects, and passionate about connecting your technical experience to experience in other fields.

Role accountabilities:

Technical client liaison from initial contact through project delivery  Defining, contributing and/or delivering of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects throughout project lifecycle  Challenging, proposing, agreeing and implementing alternative solutions compared with those dictated by the T&D specifications, policies, processes and best practices Designing and/or producing electrical engineering deliverables where appropriate (e.g. for substations, cable or overhead line connections) 

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering (either BSc, MSc or PhD) or relevant T&D expertise build up during the career Experience working as a substation and/or plant Consultant / Lead Engineer to international and/or industry standards  Preparation of HV substation primary, control & protection and/or secondary equipment design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programs and cost estimates Broad knowledge of Transmission & Distribution work field & technologies and a good understanding of how technology influence the operation and performance of the Power Grid Familiar with international T&D standards, working methods and software tooling (e.g. Revitt, Elcad, Primtech, AutoCAD, PS CAD, etc)  Can demonstrate success in designing and/or engineering and/or delivering projects safely to budget, time and quality that meets customer expectations Proven ability of working with internal and external parties, e.g. equipment suppliers, manufacturers, service providers, professional bodies, and working within a strong international/diverse) team-working culture Capable of communicating complex technical or commercial issues to peers or senior managers and (external) stake holders Experience in writing clear and concise offers, documentation and reports

Notes:

Dutch language (or learning it) is an advantage. For the role of Senior Consultant at least 15 year solid experience is asked  Activities in standard committees like Cigre or NEN is an advantage You are pro-active, curious and of course fun to work with.
