Join our team as a C++ Software Engineer in our vibrant Den Haag office -  push your limits and learn something new every day. You'll be working on the foundation that the Prescan product is built on. This includes a distributed computing framework, a multi-language api to create and modify experiments, an SDK to create plugins, and working on the simulation backend.

Simcenter Prescan is a mature and wide-spread simulation platform for virtual development and validation of active safety and (Highly) Automated Driving systems. Prescan offers high-fidelity simulation models of all sensors relevant for automated driving, and a simulation environment for virtual testing of algorithms for autonomous braking, lane keeping, accident avoidance, etc…

You'll create impact by:

Engaging with Stakeholders:  with both internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements clearly. Feature Design and Implementation:  Depending on the feature’s complexity, this task may be an individual effort or a collaborative team endeavor. Writing High-Quality C++ Code:  Craft code that is clean, maintainable, and efficient, utilizing templates where appropriate. Efficiency and Latency Considerations:  Demonstrate comfort in addressing efficiency and low-latency concerns. Contributing to Process Improvement:  Assist the team in enhancing tooling and refining work practices. Active Participation in Retrospectives:  Engage in retrospectives to evaluate and enhance our development process.

Your defining qualities:

Collaborative Nature:  Your fluency in English allows you to articulate complex ideas effectively within a multidisciplinary team as well as providing constructive feedback to peers. C++ Proficiency:  C++17, with a solid grasp of modern C++ features and best practices leveraging templates to create elegant solutions. Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Test-Driven Development (TDD):  Experience with TDD methodologies, ensuring robust and reliable code through continuous testing. Ability to write unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scripts. Architecture and Design:  Expertise in software (UML) architecture and design principles, with the ability to create scalable and maintainable systems. Tool Familiarity:  · Version control and source code management tools such as Git, GitLab, Mercurial, Conan, Artifactory, Jenkins are familiar companions in your development journey. Signal Processing Insight:  Understanding of basic Signal Processing concepts (filtering, FFT, resampling) Continuous Learning:  Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomous vehicle technology and software engineering. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
