Afdelingssecretaris Sustainable Design Engineering

In de veelzijdige rol van afdelingssecretaris werk je in de dynamische, internationale onderzoeks- en onderwijsomgeving van Sustainable Design Engineering (SDE). De afdeling kent een open en informele cultuur, en bestaat uit de 3 secties Materializing Futures, Knowledge and Intelligence Design, en Design for Sustainability, en het lab.

 

Als Afdelingssecretaris ben jij de rechterhand en sparringspartner van de afdelingsvoorzitter en het SDE managementteam. Je geeft leiding aan het SDE secretariaat, een team van 5 betrokken medewerkers, je fungeert als vraagbaak, kunt mensen goed bij elkaar brengen en je bent de schakel tussen SDE en externe partners.

Jij bent primair verantwoordelijk voor de bedrijfsvoering van de afdeling, en draagt zorg voor een efficient verloop van een breed scala aan bedrijfsprocessen. Denk aan de werving en selectie van nieuwe medewerkers, het opstellen van de afdelingsbegroting, en facilitaire zaken zoals het eerlijk verdelen van de beschikbare ruimte. Ook speel je een rol in de fysieke en sociale veiligheid binnen de afdeling, met als doel een veilige werkomgeving te creëren. 

 

Hiervoor werk je nauw samen met collega’s van HR, Finance, Communicatie en Facility Management, en met de afdelingssecretarissen van de andere afdelingen van onze faculteit. Maar dat is niet alles; jij vervult een actieve rol in het managementteam, bent de motor achter de afdelingscommunicatie, organiseert en bereidt vergaderingen voor, waarborgt management informatie en coördineert de uitvoering van acties. Jij maakt het verschil voor onze bedrijfsvoering, waarbij de mensen in onze afdeling centraal staan

Functie-eisen

  • Je hebt academisch werk- en denkniveau en leidinggevende ervaring.
  • Je hebt minimaal 3 jaar ervaring met het begeleiden van bedrijfsprocessen en/of projecten in een vergelijkbare werkomgeving.
  • Je bent financieel onderlegd, hebt een initiatiefrijke en pragmatische instelling en kunt prioriteiten stellen.
  • Je bent empathisch, integer, contactvaardig, en hebt een samenwerkingsgerichte instelling.
  • Je beschikt over een sterk conceptueel vermogen en hanteert een planmatige en zorgvuldige werkwijze.
  • Je kunt goed schakelen tussen verschillende niveaus, dwarsverbanden leggen en mensen met elkaar verbinden.
  • Je spreekt en schrijft goed Nederlands en Engels, vanwege het internationale karakter van onze afdeling.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

  • Een salaris dat is gebaseerd op schaal 11 uit de CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten met een minimum van € 4.332,00 en een maximum van € 5.929,00 bruto per maand op basis van een volledige werkweek (38 uur), plus 8% vakantiegeld en een eindejaarsuitkering van 8,3%.
