  • This role is responsible for all kind of taxes, except for PIT/ customs of VNF and NGF – a new manufacturing branch set up in the North.
  • This role is responsible for providing tax advisory to business/ all stakeholders to ensure fully comply with prevailing tax regulations.
  • This role is responsible for tax health check engaged with Big4 service providers and tax audit conducted by tax authorities in Vietnam. With current set up of NGF, there are 2 separated tax audits in Binh Duong and Ha Nam separately.
  • This role is partnering with other functions to review supporting documents to mitigate any tax risks incurred.
  • This role is also in charge of Treasury to manage cash flow and daily operation of Treasury part of VNF and NGF.
    Responsibilities

    Tax

    Tax preparation/ reporting and filing

    • Preparing and filing all tax returns for CIT, VAT, WHT, PIT for individual distributors, license tax and other relevant tax
    • Preparing and submitting on time for all the reporting related to tax in accordance with policy of PepsiCo Group.
    • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of tax returns in accordance with tax regulations.
    • Ensure accurate reporting of tax-related items in financial statements.

      Tax planning and advisory

      • Provide tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities (if any).
      • Advise on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
      • Partnering with business on providing promptly advise and provide solutions to mitigate tax risks.
      • Analyzing tax regulations and providing insights on the impact to the business.
      • Staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all tax regulations in Vietnam.
      • Assist manager to organize tax training to business and update tax regulations/ tax changes to business promptly.

        Tax audit assistance:

        • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
        • Gathering and organizing documentation to support tax positions during tax audit.
        • Working with service providers (if any) for conducting tax audit/ tax health check.

          Software and Technology:

          • Using tax preparation software and accounting system.
          • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax data in accounting system (SAP).

            Treasury

            Cash management

            • Monitoring daily cash balances and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
            • Managing cash flow forecasts and cash flow report
            • Coordinating with banks for transactions and account management.

              Loan management

              • Coordinating with banks for interest for new loans (short-term & long-term)
              • Review and process the loan agreement with banks for daily operations.
              • Monitor bank loan balances and report to managers for the loan status.
              • Book all transactions related to banks in accounting system.

                Treasury reporting

                • Prepare and submit all reports related to Treasury following policy of PepsiCo Group.
                • Prepare and submit all mandatory reports related to Treasury in accordance with State Bank
                  Qualifications
                  • University degree in Accounting or equivalent plus 5-7 years of experience in tax field
                  • Proven hands-on experience in tax audit
                  • Knowledge of accounting standards, statutory, regulatory and tax regulations
                  • High degree of conceptual and analytical skills
                  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), fluent in English
                  • Effective problem evaluation and solution
                  • Having any of the below experience/knowledge is a plus:
                  • ACCA or CPA qualification.
                  • Working experience at Big 4/ audit firms/ foreign-owned firms/ FMCG
                  • Experience in working with or setting up accounting software systems.
                  • Knowledge or experience in internal control systems, IAS, IFRS.

                    Tax
