Op deze afdeling werken we met tien capaciteitsmanagement experts en data-analisten aan het onderzoeken en combineren van allerlei informatie en data, om vervolgens tot aanbevelingen te komen. We ontwikkelen allerlei modellen, adviezen en tools voor bijvoorbeeld luchtverkeersleiders, het bestuur van LVNL, de overheid, luchthavens en vliegmaatschappijen. Daarnaast verzorgt Capacity Management and Analytics de verkeersverwachting en verwachte werklast voor de luchtverkeersleiders. Bekijk de vacatures Maarten, manager Capacity Management and Analytics:
‘We vertalen complexe materie naar begrijpelijke inzichten en adviezen.’ Wat ga je doen als je op deze afdeling komt werken?
‘Als capaciteitsmanagement expert werk je aan veel verschillende onderwerpen. Of het nou de overheid is, het bestuur van LVNL, een projectgroep of de luchthaven: iedereen weet ons te vinden voor input of advies vanuit de cijfers. Welke invloed heeft een nieuw systeem of een aanpassing aan de infrastructuur op het werk, de omgeving en het milieu? Wat zijn de gevolgen van een grote oefening van de Luchtmacht?
Wij brengen de effecten van al dat soort veranderingen en gebeurtenissen in kaart. Dat betekent dat je voor iedere vraag de juiste indicatoren moet zien te vinden, en cijfers altijd moet weten te vertalen naar een helder verhaal.’ Wat voor mensen is Capacity Management and Analytics op zoek?
‘Mensen met een analytische achtergrond, die complexe vraagstukken kunnen overzien en thuis zijn in data-analyse. Een technische, universitaire opleiding zoals Lucht- en Ruimtevaarttechniek bereidt je daarop voor, maar met de juiste kwaliteiten kun je bijvoorbeeld ook met een hbo-opleiding Aviation bij ons terecht.
Belangrijk is dat je naast analytische vaardigheden, ook goede communicatieve vaardigheden in huis hebt. Wij delen onze analyses met bijvoorbeeld luchtverkeersleiders, vliegers, omwonenden van Schiphol, politici of mensen vanuit de luchthaven. Dat betekent dat je niet alleen moet kunnen omgaan met complexe materie, maar je verhaal ook moet kunnen presenteren.’ Wat maakt het zo leuk om voor deze afdeling te werken?
‘Het werk hier is afwisselend en het gaat altijd écht ergens om: onze analyses en aanbevelingen zorgen er mede voor dat de luchtvaart efficiënter, duurzamer en beter voor omwonenden wordt. Een verbetering werkt vaak op veel gebieden door. Als we bijvoorbeeld de baancapaciteit optimaliseren, kan dat vertragingen, CO2-uitstoot én geluidsoverlast schelen.
Daarnaast is het onderling contact bij ons supergoed. We hebben een hecht team, werken intensief samen, maar blijven bijvoorbeeld ook samen hangen om voetbal te kijken.’
