All about the role
As a Logistics Finance intern, you will be the right hand of our Logistics Finance Business Partner for Netherlands and Belgium. Working closely with him, you’ll play a key role in exciting cost savings and process improvement projects as well as gain deep understanding and experience with key financial processes such as the month-end-close, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. Apart from helping you practice fundamental finance skills, the role also provides wide exposure to senior stakeholders across Logistics, Finance, HQ as well as the broader Dutch and Belgian teams, which will position you well for future success within the organization.
The internship is designed to be long term (over 6 months) and serve as a foundation for potential career growth within JET. It will be structured to equip you with the skills and experience needed to excel independently in this role or any other similar role within the company.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to
- Support in preparing, maintaining and improving our financial models and report
- Learn to derive insights from complex/comprehensive data sets and visualize
- your findings
- Assist in delivering ad-hoc analysis requests from senior leadership
- Prepare and present financial insights to non-financial audience
- Support with audits and be the main point of contact for the P2P and R2R teams for logistics finance inquiries
- Automate processes and be at the forefront of the NL Finance team AI transition
You will be better positioned to succeed in this role, if you possess the following set of skills
Non-negotiables
- You must be a penultimate or ultimate year university student in Business
- administration/Finance/Economics/Econometrics or similar
- Knowing your way around Excel and Powerpoint (Google Sheets experience would be a bonus)
- Fluent English language skills (written & spoken)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Driven, eager to learn and proactive
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Experience or willingness to explore how AI can be applied to Finance
