Chane is the European market leader in tank storage, present at key locations in 7 different countries with a total of 20 terminals. We do this by developing multi-modal solutions in the supply chain for our customers for green vital products that facilitate the energy transition, such as hydrogen, ammonia, CO2, Bio-products and sustainable feedstock.
Chane is looking for an experienced Senior/Manager Risk & Control to join the Audit, Risk and Control Function. We are looking for a colleague who is driven and motivated to support the Audit, Risk and Control Function within Chane. The Senior/Manager Risk & Control will report to the Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Control.
Key tasks:
- Work closely with the Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Control to fulfill the mission of the Internal Audit Function.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Support the Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Control in executing the coordinating and supporting functions for the strategic/operational (department/terminal) risk assessments.
- Assist in the creation and revision of risk management and internal control policies to reflect changes in regulations, industry standards, or business operations.
- Prepare risk management reports for senior management.
- Support the design and adjustments of internal controls.
- Facilitate and coordinate the quarterly internal control self-assessments.
- Regularly monitor internal control self-assessments and report on their effectiveness.
- Provide training and support to employees on risk management processes and the importance of internal controls.
- Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization.
- Work with other departments, such as finance, operations, and IT, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management and control.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging risks, continuously seeking ways to enhance the organization's risk management framework.
Education, skills and competencies:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a comparable role in a related industry.
- Maintains a high standard for recording risk activities in alignment with COSO/ISO 31000.
- A Master's degree; additionally, a recognized professional qualification (e.g., Certified ISO 31000 Risk Management/CRMP).
- Data-driven, with advanced computer skills in MS Office 365, data analysis, and visualization software.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and achieve consensus on actions to reduce risk.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- Transparent, integer, critical, and hands-on.
