As an IT Control and Risk Specialist, you will be accountable for ensuring the IT internal controls of our organization are effective and efficient, and compliant with laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will also be responsible for assessing and reporting on the business risks associated with the use, ownership, operation, involvement, influence, and adoption of IT within the organization.
- You will liaise and work together with colleagues from different departments and disciplines to support, govern, and contribute to a fully integrated and aligned IT strategy across our organization.
- You will execute processes and best practices necessary to work according to the direction and strategy of Group IT, making suggestions for improvement if required.
- You will initiate actions, prepare materials/presentations, and suggest ideas for the Group Department Manager/Group IT Director to align with the Management Board regarding specific projects.
You will measure your effectiveness in this role by attending alignment sessions with peers and other disciplines across different departments, initiating actions, preparing materials/presentations, and coordinating actions. The quality of the processes developed, reviewed, or implemented will also be a key indicator of your success.
In order to ensure knowledge sharing and creating awareness among the IT community on your respective specialism, you will:
- Keep the IT community informed on IT control and risk initiatives and decisions taken that might have an impact on day-to-day business.
- Participate in IT risk and IT control review meetings.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment to minimize downtime within the overall IT landscape.
Your level of clarity and technical expertise in regards to breaking down organizational needs and requirements into manageable parts for your field of expertise will be a key measure of your effectiveness in this area.
