Ben je student en heb je ervaring met het verzamelen van data op scholen? Heb je affiniteit met onderwijskundig toetsen? Wil je helpen met onderzoek naar methodes om kortere en voor de leerling op maat gemaakte toetsen te ontwerpen? Dan is deze functie voor 12 weken iets voor jou

Om iedereen goed te kunnen testen moet een toets zowel makkelijke als moeilijke vragen bevatten. Te moeilijke of te makkelijke vragen zijn voor leerlingen demotiverend. Daarnaast bieden te moeilijke of te makkelijke vragen ook weinig informatie over het niveau van de leerling: Immers, als de leerling het antwoord op de vraag 17 = ? al niet wist, kun je vooraf beredeneren dat de leerling het antwoord op de vraag ×34-12=? ook niet weet. In ons onderzoek willen we zogenaamde adaptieve toetsen ontwikkelen met een nieuwe methode: approximate multistage testing. Bij adaptief toetsen wordt de toets tijdens de afname gemaakt op basis van de eerdere antwoorden van de leerling. Hierdoor krijgen leerlingen dus geen vragen die te moeilijk of te makkelijk zijn, en worden er in de regel ook veel minder vragen afgenomen dan bij een reguliere toets. Voor adaptieve toetsen moeten vooraf wel veel meer vragen beschikbaar zijn dan bij reguliere toetsen, en alle vragen moeten vooraf afgenomen zijn bij leerlingen om in te schatten hoe moeilijk de vragen zijn.

Wat ga je doen

In deze functie zoek je en onderhoud je contact met scholen uit het primair en middelbaaronderwijs over de mogelijkheid om reken- en taaltoetsen af te nemen, en neem je ook daadwerkelijk klassikaal deze toetsen af. Hierbij word je uiteraard ondersteund. Daarnaast help je met andere onderdelen van het onderzoek.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

De onderstaande taken en verantwoordelijkheden kunnen onderdeel zijn van de functie.

Het werven van scholen om data te verzamelen; het verzamelen van data op scholen; korte literatuurstudie over survey-software en survey timing; helpen bij de ontwikkeling vragen om de Engelse en Nederlandse woordenschat bij leerlingen te meten.

Wat vragen we van jou

Wij zoeken een enthousiaste student voor gemiddeld één dag per week voor 12 weken die ons wil helpen met ons onderzoek.

Jouw ervaring en profiel

je bent materstudent of derdejaars bachelor-student in één van de sociale of gedragswetenschappen; je hebt ervaring met het verzamelen van data op scholen; je bent communicatief sterk; je hebt een proactieve en flexibele instelling.

Ervaring met Qualtrics of een andere survey software is een pré.

Wat bieden we jou

We bieden een dienstverband voor 8 uur per week voor de periode van 12 weken, bij voorkeur met ingang van 1 september .

Je salaris bedraagt, afhankelijk van relevante ervaring bij aanvang van het dienstverband, €2. tot €2. bruto per maand (salarisschaal SA) op basis van volledige werktijd (38 uur per week), exclusief 8% vakantie- en 8,3% eindejaarsuitkering. De is van toepassing.
