Hotel Sales and Marketing Manager

Responsible for increasing hotel revenue through sales and marketing strategies to achieve the annual hotel budget. Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage through direct customer contacts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Results:
  • - Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals, maximizing profitability for the following segments:
  • - Business (transient and group revenue)
  • - Leisure group revenue
  • - Wholesale (transient and groups)
  • - Banquet revenue
  • - Group tours
  • - F&B revenue
  • Account Development:
  • - Increase account production for special business clients by overnight stays and raising contracted rates with a clear account plan
  • - Develop an RFP strategy for the next year with the General Manager
  • - Handle RFPs from own accounts
  • - Continuously build existing relationships with contacts
  • - Identify future contacts
  • - Boost banquet revenue from these accounts
  • - Manage incoming inquiries
  • - Implement sales plans and strategies to drive measurable additional occupancy
  • - Increase average rates, volume, food and beverage, and banquet sales
  • - Produce weekly/monthly reports on results
  • - Analyze current/potential market and sales trends
  • - Coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share to ensure actual sales meet or exceed the established revenue plan
  • New Business:
  • - Search for new local accounts for overnight stays and meetings
  • - Arrange regular corporate visits outside and inside the hotel to present the product and develop fruitful collaborations
  • - Conduct cold calls regularly to find new potential customers
  • - Participate in trade shows
  • Guest Experience:
  • - Provide information to guests (e.g., loyalty programs, local attractions, restaurant, facility information) to enhance guest experience
  • - Develop and maintain relationships with customers and external contacts to generate group and/or convention business, including room sales, food and beverage sales, and catering/banquet services
  • - Plan conferences and/or corporate group activities at the hotel, coordinating with other hotel departments at the hotel level to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and potential clients
