As a Product Director / Center of Expertise Lead you'll be responsible for developing and executing the international product roadmap for our product group Industrial Hoses in order to maximize customer satisfaction and exceed client expectations on an international scale.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders of the product group, including Procurement, local Business Units and International Key Account Management, within a matrixed organization model, to translate the overall product strategy into local actions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a product roadmap that supports commercial objectives, encompassing brand and product strategy (incl. product market combinations) and specific KPI's for the Product Group.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and maximize results for clients, both in MRO and OEM.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for the product group, based on product potential, market volume and economic viability.
  • Drive product performance and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) strategy within the countries of operation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to select suppliers (unbranded and own brand products) and manage relationships with A-Brand suppliers.
  • Define the market positioning, pricing, and margin of own brand products and develop the marketing strategy of these products with support of the CoE Product Manager.
  • Conduct market analysis and initiate requirements sessions with colleagues and customers to further enhance the product group' assortment and solutions, (including new product development) to leverage the full potential of the product group and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support local Business Units in optimizing commercial results related to the product group assortment by sharing best practices and providing market and customer insights.
  • Coordinate the development of a training program for Application Engineers, Key account Managers and other commercial functions on product market combination rollout and specialized contributions.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse community of professionals across multiple countries, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.

Your profile:

  • University degree, preferably in a technical field of expertise.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience within a relevant commercial technical work environment.
  • A good understanding of Hose applications and the OEM and/or MRO market.
  • An analytical and structured way of working.
  • Result-oriented and always looking for a solution for each challenge.
  • Proficiency in English and preferably in Dutch, German or French.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Based in the Netherlands or Belgium (preferred) or alternatively within 80 km of the Dutch border in Germany.
