ABOUT THE ROLE:
A Business Development Manager specializing in VMware products is tasked with selling the VMware portfolio to both existing and new clients. This position demands a solid grasp of the company's offerings and the ability to spot and close on opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the local and EMEA VMware Sales teams as well as our partners. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a sales-driven mindset and a genuine interest in IT services.

What will you be doing at Arrow Enterprise Solutions?
  • Collaborating with Arrow Account Managers (Internal Sales) and Account Directors (External Sales) to pinpoint key reseller partners with potential for boosting sales of the vendor's products and services.
  • Equipping partners with the necessary tools to unleash their sales potential.
  • Implementing successful business plans with reseller partners, with a focus on distribution managed and mid-market partners.
  • Establishing and nurturing solid relationships within the vendor and channel customer base.
  • Identifying and engaging new partners to drive additional sales.
  • Supporting, owning, and spearheading activities around campaigns and projects to target specific go-to-market messages.
  • Providing regular and accurate forecasts of opportunities, offering insights for both short and long-term deals.
  • Maximizing margin potential by concentrating on partners and targets with higher margin opportunities. Leveraging vendor programs to ensure back-end rebate targets and focal points are achieved.
  • Detecting sales scenarios and opportunities for business development in order to meet and surpass targets.
  • Empowering partners through consistent sales training, either face-to-face or via webinars, and facilitating the delivery of technical training.
  • Fostering a high-profile and trust within the partner base to guarantee that Arrow is engaged in larger projects.
  • Placing a strong emphasis on distribution managed partners and collaborating closely with the vendor to cultivate those accounts.
What are we looking for?
  • Prior experience in a similar role focusing on software solutions sales within IT channel or end-user sales.
  • Holding a valid driving license and being willing to travel.
  • Proficiency in English language and native or advanced command of Dutch.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to establish and cultivate strategic business relationships.
  • Self-driven with a diligent and proactive work ethic.
  • Effective communication with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Inclination to adopt a structured approach, such as managing time both in the office and on the road, identifying key decision-makers, and understanding the sales dynamics of complex projects.
  • Ability to comprehend product benefits and solution sales concepts, including collaboration with alliance vendors.
  • Problem-solving skills and a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
