ABOUT THE ROLE

A Business Development Manager - VMware is in charge of selling VMware's product portfolio to both existing and new customers. This position demands a profound understanding of the company's offerings and the ability to recognize and seize opportunities. Your collaboration with the local and EMEA VMware Sales team and our partners is crucial. The ideal candidate should be highly driven, possess sales acumen, and have a passion for IT services.

What will you be doing at Arrow Enterprise Solutions?
  • Work with Arrow Account Managers (Internal Sales) and Account Directors (External Sales) to identify key reseller partners with potential for developing sales of the vendor's products and services.
  • Collaborate with partners to equip them with the necessary tools for maximizing sales potential.
  • Implement successful business plans with reseller partners, focusing more on distribution managed and mid-market partners.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships within the vendor and channel customer base.
  • Discover new partners, engage with them, and provide support to drive additional sales.
  • Lead, own, and oversee campaigns and projects targeting specific go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure regular and accurate forecasting of opportunities, offering insights for short and long-term deals.
  • Enhance margin potential by concentrating on partners and targets with higher profit margins. Utilize vendor programs to meet back-end rebate targets and priority areas.
  • Identify sales opportunities and scenarios to grow the business and surpass targets.
  • Empower partners through regular sales training, either face-to-face or via webinars, and facilitate technical training delivery.
  • Establish a prominent profile and trust within the partner network to involve Arrow in larger projects.
  • Place a strong emphasis on distribution managed partners and collaborate closely with the vendor to develop these accounts.
What are we looking for?
  • Experience in a similar role within software solutions sales in IT channel sales or end-user sales.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Dutch language skills at a native or advanced level.
  • Effective communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • The capacity to establish and cultivate strategic business relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a diligent and proactive demeanor.
  • Excellent communication with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Natural inclination towards adopting a structured approach such as managing time in the office and on the road, identifying key decision-makers, and understanding the dynamics of complex project sales.
  • Ability to grasp product benefits, solution sales concepts, and collaboration with alliance vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
