What will you do?

Alibaba is the largest B2B trading platform globally. The start-up/scale-up division for north-western European countries is in need of a (junior) Sales Development Representative (SDR). Your role as a SDR entails locating and guiding European entrepreneurs towards success on the world's leading trading platform where entrepreneurs connect. Your responsibilities are crucial in growing our client base. From creating compelling email campaigns to conducting engaging phone calls, utilizing LinkedIn outreach to tapping into your personal network. Whether networking at events or sourcing quality appointments, you will leave no stone unturned to meet our growth objectives. Your mission? To schedule as many high-quality appointments as possible for the team. Company growth begins with you You will collaborate closely with the dynamic sales team. This position requires effective lead qualification and approaching leads with vigor and passion. Within a year, you could progress to the role of Sales Executive. As a Sales Executive, you will manage your own revenue streams and autonomously arrange meetings with new clients identified through your lead generation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new clients through (cold) calling, emailing, and structured lead generation
  • Schedule meetings, prepare necessary documents, take notes, and develop action plans
  • Explore digital innovations such as AI and other software to enhance sales
  • Support founders during meetings, events, and business trips

What are we looking for?

  • Completion of a university or applied science degree (HBO)
  • Background in business sales years of experience)
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn, organization, and high energy levels
  • Interest in e-commerce and marketing
  • Entrepreneurial mindset suitable for a startup/scale-up environment
