For our new biomanufacturing facility in Leiden we are looking for a Production Planning and Inventory Control.

About the job:


As a Production Planning and Inventory Control Specialist you play a crucial role in ensuring an efficient and effective production environment.

You will be responsible for planning and prioritizing production runs, managing workflows for multiple products, and determining personnel, equipment, and materials needs for production runs.

You ensure both long-term and short-term production planning and ensure that the stock of required materials is available.

In addition, you generate purchase requests for materials needed for production, execute MRP cycles and integrate maintenance/calendar schedules into production planning.

Maintaining inventory of produced products and materials, as well as keeping track of rejected products and materials, are also part of your responsibilities.


  • Experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP (S4HANA);
  • Excellent command of the English language;
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances;
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Furthermore, you are able to work closely with various internal departments, such as Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality Assurance and
  • Project Management. You are proactive in identifying new technologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes, and you actively share these insights within the organization.
