Job Purpose:_


We are seeking to strengthen the team with an Accounts receivable officer which is responsible for properly managing the workflow related to the invoicing & collection process and assisting in the communication, coordination, filing and distribution of documentation between the accounting department and the operations department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:_

  • Responsible for the overall workflow of the accounts receivables process and ensuring that the overall process operates in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To issue invoices for freight, demurrages and all other additional expenses which are recoverable under the relevant C/P, as instructed by the Ship Operator and Claims Manager.
  • Following up and control of the collecting of outstanding invoices in close cooperation with the Accounting Department, the Ship Operator, and the Claims Manager.
  • Authorization of broker commission invoices.
  • Allocating the FDAs related to our port and voyage expenses in our main (ERP) systems.
  • Coordinating the filing and distribution of all documentation received and distributing incoming communication for the Operations Department and Accounting Department.
  • To undertake all other support activities as designated by the Operations Manager and the accounting department.

We are looking for a person with:_

  • A degree in accounting, economics and or relevant and knowledge of accounting and invoicing.
  • 13 years of experience in an accounts receivable or payable position or comparable.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Hard working, accurate & efficient.
  • Computer literate.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience in the shipping industry will be considered a big advantage.

Required:
Work permit or EU passport

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • 1077 XX

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:
