Introduction:

Background information:

The design of ASML machines is driven by the need for faster, more precise and more accurate silicon wafers. The production of our machines, also called throughput, is measured by the amount of silicon wafers per hour processed. Faster machines also mean more cycles and increased loads, which present a challenge for the lifetime of ASML products.

In the Testing and Measuring Facilities department, as part of product development, the functionality and lifetime of ASML components are put to the test.


Each test is a project on its own:

from the design of the test; design, manufacturing and assembly of innovative test bench, procurement, and execution of the test.

During these projects, risk management is executed in order to manage the triple constraint (budget, time, and scope). It involves tradeoffs and creativity from the project leader to act on the identified risks.

Your assignment:

In this assignment, you will understand the existing test process, assess risks and prioritize them in discussions with stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to grasp the risk attitude and appetite of ASML in a testing environment. Risks may range from procurement, manufacturing and uncertainties in testing new products.

Your profile:

To be a match for this internship, you:

  • Are busy with your bachelor's or master's in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • Have affinity with project management;
  • Are driven by curiosity and have a handson mentality;
  • Have good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
This is a graduation internship for 5 days a week with a duration of at least 6 months. The start date is as soon as possible.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
