Job Title: Senior Manager Core Network Capacity Planning

Job Purpose

As the Senior Manager Core Network Capacity Planning reporting to the Director of Network and DC Planning, you will lead a team spanning Liberty Global, supporting renowned brands such as Virgin Media, VodafoneZiggo, UPC, and Telenet. In this role, you will oversee services across operational countries and the Aorta network.

This position entails ensuring quality, meeting delivery timelines, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Core capacity planning domains. By guaranteeing the reliability of the organization's plans and surpassing sponsors' expectations, you will significantly contribute to overall customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide leadership and manage Capacity Planning responsibilities for operating countries and the Core network, Data Centre, and Cloud
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and capacity needs for LG Core network, in-country Core networks, and B2B Services
• Manage HW & SW/licenses life cycle, including EOL/EOS
• Oversee IP address management for IPv4 and IPv6 and promote IPv6 deployment
• Manage RIPE registration for LG, domain names management, and registration for LG
• Conduct regular data center site audits, enforce strict access control, and comply with audit guidelines
• Forecast, plan, and share monthly and quarterly reports covering Core network and Data Center, IP & Optical network, Compute, Storage, backup solutions, IPAM & DNS
• Ensure optimal utilization of Liberty Global's networks and system investments
• Schedule and drive capacity upgrades on platforms promptly
• Assess operational impacts of capacity for residential and B2B customer portfolio upgrades and new initiatives
• Specify requirements for forecasting, reporting, and cost models for all planning domains, aiding in building, enhancing, and automating these functions
• Prepare detailed capacity forecasts based on business growth and new product introductions for all relevant components of the network
• Ensure quality and lead initiatives to enhance customer experience
• Identify and implement proactive initiatives supporting Core activities
• Offer support for Warehouse/shipments process related to purchased HW
• Foster strong partnerships with country operations to enhance customer experience, service quality, reliability, and efficiencies
• Inspire and supervise a Capacity Planning team, coaching and developing staff to boost performance, provide career advancement opportunities, and build a positive, team-oriented culture
• Support the development of the strategic and tactical Core Roadmap
• Assist LG teams with Core M&S contracts
• Further develop and maintain relationships across Liberty Global teams to meet business requirements and support cross-functional activities

We seek individuals with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated expertise in Telco or Cable Operator environment
• International experience in leading teams of diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds
• Prior involvement in IP, Optical, and Internet network capacity planning in large-scale operations
• Familiarity with OSI Model, Ethernet, IP, MPLS, BGP, IP peering, and RIPE/DNS
• Knowledge of network tools such as Wandl/StableNet, Arbor, Zenoss, InfoBlox, EasyIP
• Strong management skills, particularly in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and staff motivation
• Effective delegation abilities while retaining full management control
• Proven track record of establishing and leading high-performing teams in an organization undergoing significant structural and cultural transformations
• Resilient, adaptable, and adept at working under commercial and timeline pressures, thriving on challenges and responsibilities
• Analytical aptitude to review, identify, and develop improvement strategies
• Capability to organize and prioritize multiple, sometimes competing, tasks effectively
