ASML IT develops and delivers automated and digital services that are absolutely mission critical for ASML’s internal and external activities. These services support information management, infrastructure, automation and optimization of key business processes across ASML. The goal of the IT organization is to continuously improve our business capabilities while at the same time delivering a 24x7 global IT landscape. ASML IT works in SAFe Agile way.

Our IT business continuity management (BCM) organization supports ASML business and the IT organization in cyber resilience, disaster recovery and testing of its readiness on a regular basis. This organization consists of an Business Continuity Manager, supported by business continuity leads.

Due to the continuous growth of ASML and increasing security posture we are further maturing and growing our IT business continuity management organization; therefore we are looking for a business continuity lead for the domain business enterprise applications.

Role & Responsibilities:

Job Mission

This is a key-role in the business continuity management organization of IT. He or she independently functions as the IT business continuity lead for enterprise applications.

The business continuity lead enterprise applications is acting as the spider in the web by:

  • Working and aligning closely with the core IT BCM team on all aspects of BCM (processes, technology, organization).

  • Supporting the business services owners to ensure business requirements with respect to business continuity are met. Overall the BCM accountability still resides with business service owners.

Responsibilities of the Business Continuity Lead Enterprise Applications

Generic in virtual core BCM team

  • Align in virtual BCM core team on all aspects of Business Continuity Management.

  • Participate in BCM Roadmap definition.

  • Define and drive Continuous Service Improvements for BCM.

  • Support maintenance and update of the master runbooks.

  • Actively participate in the BCM competence.

  • Support IT crisis events and exercises.

Specific for assigned scope of business services

  • Drive/execute the relevant parts of this BCM roadmap for enterprise applications.

  • Support maintenance and update of Business Impact Assessments in alignment with delivery managers & business.

  • Coordinate maintenance and update of assigned business services recovery runbooks.

  • Execute technical continuity test plan, incl lesson learned follow-up.

  • Ensure all assigned business services are BCM ready

    • Technical readiness (infra, back-ups)

    • Organizational readiness

    • Process readiness (runbooks)

    • Operational readiness (exercises and tests)

    • Reporting on effectivity

Education and experience

  • Master level or equivalent combination of Education and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant business and/or IT roles and at least 3 years of experience with business continuity on medior level.

  • Preferably certified in business continuity management.

  • Thorough understanding and practical experience with:

    • IT service management and processes (ITIL).

    • Complex IT Infrastructure environments (on-prem and Cloud).

    • Large scale enterprise applications (SAP, TeamCenter, Tibco, Mulesoft).

  • Preferably experience in high-tech industry.

  • Good knowledge and experience with of IT components and solutions:

    • Zerto

    • Infra (OS (Linux, Windows), Databases (Oracle, Microsoft), Storage (NetApp)

    • Connectivity / networks (Cisco, routers, load balancers)

    • Cloud (Azure, Google)

    • Back-up (Rubriks)

    • Workplace infrastructure (laptop, VDI, Office365)

    • Identity and access management systems

Personal Skills:

  • Decisive, flexible, common sense, result oriented.

  • Ambitious and with a pro-active, initiating attitude.

  • Ability to plan and set priorities.

  • Strong analytical, organizing and coordinating skills.

  • Taking and driving end2end ownership in BCM.

  • Ability to quickly develop network in the organization.

  • Eager to stay knowledgeable on business continuity management.
