As full-time Front Office Supervisor you will be reporting directly to our Assistant/Front Office Manager. You are continuously focused on improving the department and coaching the team together with the Assistant/Front Office Manager. You strive to exceed our guests' every expectation and improve our outstanding service and high-quality product on a daily basis. Together we surprise and delight our guests by showing that we genuinely care.


What you will be doing:

  • Supervise day to day operations within the Front Office
  • Maximize all revenues opportunities by coaching and training the team
  • Assisting with responsibilities from the Front Office Agent when demanded by business
  • Ensuring a consistently high standard of service is delivered by the team
  • Take on the role of Team Coach, which includes responsibilities for onboarding and Career Development
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities, and telling them about ways to improve their stay
  • Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience
  • Full knowledge and ability on reacting to emergency procedures.
  • Ensure all systems are kept up to date with accurate information and Hilton standards are complied with fully
  • Have fun with your colleagues in serving our guests.
  • Handling of basic problems and guest complaints


What do we expect of you:

  • Has experience in the Front Desk
  • Experience within Hilton is a strong preference
  • Great communication skills and truly hospitable
  • Motivational and patient
  • Calm, organized, and handles stress well
  • Representative appearance
  • Strong organizer and planner
  • Great eye for detail
  • Fluent in English is a must, fluent Dutch is desirable
  • Experience with First aid or a BVH certificate would be nice
  • Available for morning and evening shifts, also on weekends & holidays, so you have to be able to reach the hotel before 07:00 AM and able to get back home after 11:00 PM at all times.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam - NDSM Wharf has 88 rooms, an on-site brasserie-style restaurant a gym, and on-site parking. The hotel is a comfortable, 4-star boutique-style interior design hotel standing our the industrial backdrop of the Amsterdam NDSM Wharf. We are within 10 minutes of Noorderpark and the A'DAM Lookout. Located across from the hotel, a free ferry departs daily to Amsterdam Centraal train station, in the heart of the city, three kilometers away.
