Spare Parts Leader

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented spare parts specialist to supervise and optimize the management of spare parts inventory, procurement, and distribution. This role guarantees the seamless availability of spare parts to support operations and enhance efficiency. This position also encompasses warehouse management, customs clearance, import and export, truck scheduling, GWMS system operation, CRM system work order management, and defect return management.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Oversight: Coordinate the storage and timely delivery of spare parts to internal and external stakeholders. Manage 3PL warehouse performance, including operation efficiency, inventory accuracy etc.
- Logistics coordination: Be directly responsible for and follow up on the inbound and outbound movement of spare parts from the warehouse to the customer's destination. Ensure that the internal team recommends the most advantageous transport mode, route, equipment, or frequency. Coordinate the return of parts from customers to the warehouse, conduct necessary inspections and sorting locally, and then ship the processed items back to headquarters.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all spare parts operations comply with company policies and legal requirements; Generate regular inventory and usage reports. Analyze usage patterns and historical data to anticipate future needs and reduce stockouts.
- Tools management: be responsible for tools management in region, make sure inventory accuracy and maximize tool utilization, arrange calibration before expiration.
- Procurement Coordination: Develop relationships with suppliers, help to negotiate contracts, manage spare parts orders.
- Communication skills: Have the ability to communicate effectively with people and complete tasks.
- Computer skills: Be proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in spare parts management or inventory control.
- Proficiency in WMS systems and supply chain management software.
- Familiarity with Dutch regulatory requirements regarding import/export and logistics. Familiarity with import and export regulations across Europe is a plus.
- Flexible working hours are available, and business travel is accommodated.
- Fluency in English; Dutch / multilingual is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the medical industry will be a plus
- Driver license
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with Dutch regulatory requirements regarding import/export and logistics. Familiarity with import and export regulations across Europe is a plus.
