Job Purpose and Location:
In the heart of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, our client seeks a dynamic Margin & Pricing Manager. This role is crucial for driving excellence in margin management across the Business Unit. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Global Margin/Pricing Network: Spearhead a worldwide network focused on informing about initiatives for global process stabilization and enhancement. Communicate standardized processes, disseminate best practices, tackle performance issues, and establish objectives for margin stabilization.
  • Margin and Pricing Analysis and Optimization: Drive analysis and optimization efforts for pricing and margins to meet profit targets. Ensure consistent price implementation and integration across business units, monitoring closely for effectiveness.
  • Method Development for Price Setting: Craft and refine methodologies that support optimal pricing strategies based on thorough opportunity analysis. Facilitate knowledge transfer from the corporate level to business units and product control units, enhancing uniformity across all levels.
  • Global Margin Management Initiative: Play a key role in the formulation and execution of a worldwide Margin Management Performance Cycle, in collaboration with the global margin/pricing team. Define and implement standard reporting practices and KPIs to foster alignment and ongoing enhancement.
  • Global Standards Development: Apply your expertise to establish global standards that bolster the Margin Management cycle's effectiveness, focusing on data-driven and related processes.

Requirements:

  • A robust academic background with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields, with a strong preference for candidates holding advanced degrees.
  • Knowledge of commercial excellence capabilities such as (e.g. Price, Mix, Price Architecture, Margin reporting cycles, Cost to serve).
  • Demonstrated experience in a global, complex organization, especially in areas of pricing, margins, and leading change management initiatives.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to organize, plan, and execute projects across multiple teams and international borders.
  • A customer-centric approach, ensuring all initiatives enhance customer experience and meet cross-functional needs.
