All About The Role


As a Kotlin Backend Developer, you will join the Menu Team, who is responsible for the menu domain and constantly improving menu management and integrations for our partners.

You will be delivering highly scalable services and leveraging the latest paradigms and architecture patterns. You will face challenges around a broad set of technologies and areas of expertise.

Joining us as a Kotlin Backend Developer, you will be a key member, working closely with the team to architect and implement solutions, collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to help realize the requirements and steer our roadmap, challenge and offer technical decisions with a pragmatic mindset, and constantly improve both your team and yourself.

As part of this role, we're counting on you to:

  • Design, code, and test technical solutions independently, according to predetermined specifications
  • Understand the wider technological landscape and how changes will have an impact
  • Adhere to the processes, standards, and designs agreed upon by your team
  • Ensure you and others continuously improve by proposing and implementing new processes, designs, and engineering practices that make your team more effective
  • Contribute to the definition of product features, including workshops with other product development teams
  • Take ownership of supporting your changes through all environments, including production
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend standard/simple solutions
  • Understand stakeholder needs and present potential solutions

Here's what we're looking for from our Kotlin Backend Developer:

  • 1- 3 years of experience with Java
  • Experience with Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, SQL
  • Knowledge of rest API's
  • Knowledge of microservices
  • Experience with the development of production-ready solutions
  • Experience in writing tests using JUnit/Mockito
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others both locally and remotely, as well as being able to resolve complex issues independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal English
