As the Financial Director, you will assume responsibility for overseeing the financial administration of our operations in the Netherlands and Belgium. You will lead a team of financial professionals and play a pivotal role in providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's objectives.

Our client is a global 3PL with a highly diversified business portfolio. Our client offers a broad range of supply chain solutions from integrated logistics, international freight forwarding (air, ocean, road, rail and multimodal), e-commerce and express to industrial project logistics and infrastructure investment. With a global presence across 59 countries and territories, our client has established a solid foothold in half of the world's emerging markets.

Description

Provide accurate financial reports and interpret financial information to support decision-making at the management level.

Offer strategic advice on investment activities and recommend actionable strategies to optimize financial performance.

Maintain the financial health of the organization by analyzing costs, pricing, sales results, and overall company performance against business plans.

Develop financial trends and projections to inform strategic decision-making and support long-term planning.

Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.

Oversee the operations of the finance department, establish goals and objectives, and develop frameworks to achieve them effectively.

Manage the preparation and monitoring of the company's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.

Collaborate with auditors to facilitate timely and accurate financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Engage with cross-functional teams to align business plans and negotiate agreements to support future growth trajectories.

Profile

Proven experience in the financial sector, with previous roles such as financial analyst or equivalent.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong leadership capabilities, with the capacity to manage, mentor, and empower a team of financial professionals.

Proficient understanding of financial statistics, accounting principles, and industry best practices.

Thorough knowledge of relevant legal laws and regulations governing financial operations.

Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
