Role Description:
This is an entry-level role for a multi-skilled, hardworking team player wanting to develop a career in Supply Chain Management. The job encompasses goods and equipment handling, stock management, shipping, processing and managing the delivery of customer orders with suppliers, and other general warehouse activities.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are a must as the role demands a high level of communication and coordination with suppliers, customers, shipping companies, and Irdeto sales, production and operational teams. Over time training will be provided on the principles of supply chain planning for customer orders, from the point of analyzing incoming sales forecasts, purchasing inventory for stock and managing supply and lead times with Irdeto key suppliers.
The position is an on-site vancancy based at the Irdeto offices in the Netherlands.
Your mission at Irdeto:
- The handling and tracking of inbound and outgoing goods, such as:
- Receiving, checking, moving, and storing incoming goods and updating related database / ERP.
- Inspecting received goods and ensuring delivery is complete and correct.
- Matching delivery notes to purchase orders and posting packing slips.
- Picking, packaging, labelling and palletizing goods before they are dispatched.
- The processing of customer production orders and deliveries.
- Taking ownership of, and manage customer orders, shipments and deliveries end to end.
- Liaising with internal and external customers, suppliers and shipping companies on equipment / materials, quotations and required services.
- Assist with stock taking, stock counting and the management of inventory levels.
- Ensure that all production and deliveries remain within the agreed quality and service levels.
- Deliver excellent customer service to Irdeto internal and external customers.
- General housekeeping of the warehouse - to ensure a neat, safe, and professional environment.
- What you'll bring:
- A post school education to diploma or degree level.
- Willingness to commute to our office in Hoofddorp for at least 4 days weekly.
- 1-2 Years related experience and a goal to build a career in supply chain and logistics.
- Experience with ERP and Planning systems is of benefit.
- Presentable, good interpersonal skills and customer focused.
- Accurate, quality conscious and able to follow processes and procedures accurately.
- Dependable, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Quick to learn, hands-on and works independently with little guidance.
- Positive, proactive and motivated; "can-do" attitude and a team player.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills. Spoken Dutch is a plus.
- Based in Irdeto's warehouse, Hoofddorp, The Netherlands.
- A post school education to diploma or degree level.
