The Senior Data Engineer will be pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure required for storing, processing, and analyzing large data volumes. This role demands expertise in creating efficient data pipelines, storage solutions, and processing frameworks. Additionally, the Senior Data Engineer will mentor the Data Platform DevOps team, elevating their technical skills. A key responsibility will be defining standards for data modeling and integration to ensure consistency and compatibility across the data landscape.

You will be joining a new, young and energetic team with a lot of positive energy and drive to bring the Data Office to a higher level. The opinions of every team member are valued and taken into account which leads to balanced decision-making, but also honesty and transparency. Jouw uitdagingen

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for faster, high-quality service delivery.

  • Design and optimize databases, storage, and data models for efficient handling of large datasets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements and deliver effective solutions.

  • Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, maintaining integrity and efficiency.

  • Stay updated on emerging data technologies, driving continuous improvement in data engineering.

  • Provide proactive leadership and serve as a knowledge-sharing expert within the development team.

Dit neem jij mee
  • Experience in a role as Senior/Lead Data Engineer and total of 5-7 years as data engineer.
  • Advanced in Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage Account, etc.) is required.
  • Advanced in Python with DevOps principles; capable of mentoring junior team members.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Services, including Azure Repo (Git) and Azure Pipeline, this is essential.
  • Experience with Informatica and ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Background in Agile teams, familiar with Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Ability to connect with related areas such as data quality, data governance frameworks, and security protocols.
