As a Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, managing budgets, implementing financial strategies, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's mission and objectives.

Work alongside: Financial Controller, Accounts Payable/Receivable Accountant and Management Team

  • The company is going through rapid international growth, with new subsidiaries overseas opening, invoicing in 8+ currencies and triggering new tax/regulatory responsibilities.

  • The Head of Finance will be at the forefront of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), helping the organization navigate its international growth, capitalize on opportunities, and stay competitive in the market.

    Financial Strategy

    • Work closely with the Management Team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals, identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

    • Cultivate and manage relationships with external financial partners including insurance providers, auditors, tax authorities, and accountants to align external expertise with internal financial strategies.

    • Strategize for the company's next growth phases, focusing on consolidating across international subsidiaries, establishing robust transfer pricing frameworks, and optimizing tax structures.

      Financial Planning & Analysis

      • Develop and implement financial (operating) models to analyze and forecast the company's financial performance, plotting for different scenarios and further international expansion

      • Provide insights into financial trends, revenue, and expense drivers to support decision-making.

        Financial Reporting (Record to Report)

        • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements across international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (Dutch GAAP, IFRS 16).

        • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements to key stakeholders.

          Budgeting

          • Collaborate with various departments to create and manage the annual budget, monitoring and reporting on budget variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary.

            Cash Flow Management (Order to Cash)

            • Collaborating with AP/AR Specialist on cash flow optimization, through effective management of receivables, payables, and working capital.

            • Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure liquidity.

              Audit and Compliance

              • Liaise with external partners to ensure accurate and compliant representation of financial dealings with insurance entities, tax authorities, and auditors.

              • Coordinate and oversee external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

              • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

                Team Leadership & Representation

                • Lead and mentor the Finance and Legal team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

                • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to financial management.

                • Represent FeedbackFruits to its partners in financial success (accountant, tax authorities, insurance brokers, pension provider)

                  Qualifications

                  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.

                  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in a senior financial management role, preferably within the EdTech or technology (SaaS) industry.

                  • Strong understanding of (Dutch) financial regulations, tax, accounting principles, and best practices.

                  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.

                  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

                  • Effective communication abilities to convey complex financial data and processes to non-financial stakeholders.

                  • Proven experience in procuring and implementing financial software platforms

                  • Proficiency in Exact Online or similar, familiarity with tools like Moss and Monitr, advanced Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel skills.
