Sunrock is a pioneering entity in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions. As we embark on a period of significant expansion and innovation, we are in search of a Group Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership and support the ongoing growth and strategic objectives of Sunrock.

The Role:

The Group Finance Director at Sunrock will serve as a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Finance department at Sunrock consists of 3 parts: Financial Control, Accounting, Business control (FP&A) and Tax. This role is critical in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with Sunrock's mission and growth aspirations. You will be responsible for leading the finance department, managing financial operations, and ensuring that Sunrock adheres to the highest standards of financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy Development: Craft and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that supports Sunrock's strategic objectives, ensuring optimal financial health and sustainability.

• Financial Operations Management: Oversee the finance department's operations, including accounting, reporting, tax, and treasury functions, ensuring efficiency and compliance with statutory requirements.

• Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations, maintaining impeccable standards of compliance and transparency in all financial reporting.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the financial planning process, including budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insightful data to support decision-making.

• Internal Controls and Risk Management: Develop and maintain robust internal controls, risk management strategies, and financial policies to safeguard the organization's assets and financial integrity.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to support informed decision-making.

• Leadership and Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional development.

What You Bring To The Table :

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a CPA designation being highly advantageous.

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least several years in a leadership role. • A proven track record with strategic financial management.

• Strong background with financial ERP and reporting/ consolidation and (preferably) with the implementation of pricing solutions

• RA certification, RC is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices, with expertise in Dutch GAAP and IFRS.

• Experience in professionalizing finance and building dashboards/KPIs

• Switches effortlessly between strategy and operations

• Strategic thinking skills i.c.m. sharpness on details

• Proficient in the Dutch language and English language (spoken and written)

• Leadership and team-building abilities, with a commitment to developing and empowering a dynamic finance team.

• Communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders

• Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
