E-magy is looking for a Director of Site Operations

About the role

As our Director of Site Operations you are responsible for the process, production and equipment of our pilot facility. You lead teams which: make improvements to the process in terms of stability and efficiency, execute production runs with increasing output levels, and maintain and expand the production equipment. All of this is centered around a silicon melting and casting pilot production line which is unique and developed in-house. In addition, there are chemical and mechanical process steps which are partly run in-house, partly at partners.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the process, production and equipment engineering teams
  • Planning and execution of improvement programs
  • Communication of goals and progress with teams and management
  • Site management

It is an important position which today is held by the COO, who will shift his focus on the realization of the commercial production facility. It is a fulltime position for 40 hours a week, reporting into the CEO and working closely with the leadership as member of the extended management team.

We are looking for you because

You have an engineering background and extensive leadership experience. You are able to create a clear overview which enable you to manage teams, facilitate problem solving and prioritization, and work with a diverse team towards achieving great results.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in engineering
  • 10+ years of work experience in technical and management positions
  • Knowledge of engineering methodology such as HAZOP, Request for change, etc.
  • Integration of improvement project results in daily operational procedures
  • Strong commitment to operational safety
  • Strong communication skills

About E-magy

E-magy is a specialized technology company that manufactures and sells advanced silicon materials for lithium-ion batteries in vehicles and rechargeable devices.
