We are recruiting on behalf of Restaurant De Lex , a refined French bistro in Laren, near Amsterdam, known for its high-quality cuisine and intimate dining experience. We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring smooth daily operations and outstanding guest service.

The Role:

As Restaurant Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations, ensuring the restaurant runs efficiently while maintaining a warm and professional atmosphere. You will manage a team of six staff members , overseeing their training, scheduling, and performance. Additionally, you will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain service flow and uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership – Oversee the restaurant's day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth service during seven shifts per week .
  • Team Management – Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate staff, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Guest Experience – Maintain exceptional service standards, handling guest feedback professionally and ensuring repeat business.
  • Financial Oversight – Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Compliance & Standards – Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are met, and uphold brand standards.
  • Supplier & Inventory Control – Manage stock levels, liaise with suppliers, and oversee purchasing to control costs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and costs effectively.

Location: Laren, near Amsterdam

Salary: £48,000 per annum

Shifts: 7 per week
