We are searching for a Controller to join the finance team.
As Controller, with Smit Lamnalco, you will become part of an inspiring international team and will be monitoring the day-to-day financial administration of a few complex and comprehensive contracts and/or entities (mainly in Africa & Europe) including the monthly closing, and provision of accurate management information on actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
Execute the financial administration (GL) for one or more assigned contracts/entities.
Act as right hand for the local Operational Manager and deliver financial support, coordinate the financial agenda and follow-up on financial matters.
Run the monthly closing process, submit monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, movement schedules) and management reports (analysis).
Compose and submit tax-filings (WHT, CIT, Dividend Tax, VAT, Payroll Tax etc.) You will receive support by a local Finance Officer.
Participate in internal and external (statutory and tax) audits.
Participate in Finance Projects and contribute to the development and optimization of financial processes.
A bachelor's degree in accountancy or finance
~Experience with multiple types of taxation like: WHT / VAT / Corporate Tax / Payroll Taxes / Deferred Tax
~ Fluent (verbal and written) in English, Dutch is a pre
~ Analytical skills, critical, team player, hands-on, self-starting, pragmatic and able to work with different cultures
~ Work permit to work in the Netherlands.
