As the Director Finance in Amsterdam you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of flatexDEGIRO Bank Dutch Branch. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and ensuring the financial health of the company. The Director Finance will lead a team of finance professionals and work closely with (senior) management to drive financial performance and drive organization goals.

**What you will do**
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements and together with other Finance Directors develop and implement the company’s strategic financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards and internal policies and communicate this with key stakeholders like Procurement, Regulatory Reporting & Corporate Tax and Branch Management.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditor for the audit of local figures, ensuring timely and successful completion of audits.
- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Cooperate with the Corporate Tax department to ensure a timely filing and payment of taxes.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA or local equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Proficient in financial management software and ERP systems (preferably SAP); strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations, HGB preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound business decisions.
- In-depth understanding of audit processes, financial controls, and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
