**Postdoc Molecular biology**:
Small molecule antiviral drugs that disable viral counter-defense strategies may be a solution to inhibit viruses like SARS-CoV-2. In this project, we will develop an antiviral drug discovery platform.

The project will be fully executed at the Erasmus University Medical Center (EUMC), department of Immunology, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. You will be appointed at the Immunology department.
- You will be responsible for the execution and coordination concerning the development of the antiviral drug discovery platform and directing staff on the project.
- You will collect data and perform data analyses and interact with investigators at Erasmus MC.

The department of Immunology performs cutting edge basic and translational research, participates in patient care by performing laboratory diagnostics (Laboratory for Medical Immunology) and supporting Clinical Immunology, and performs a wide range of educational activities. Major research focuses in the department span molecular to clinical immunology and includes the development and function of innate and adaptive immunity, autoimmunity, immune deficiencies, immunity to infection, neuroimmunology, and lymphoid malignancies. The department has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that support basic and translational research. The department is involved in multiple International Consortia and networks, which facilitate innovation and rapid implementation of new immunological concepts and technologies.

**Terms of employment**:

- You will receive a temporary position for 1 year.
- The gross monthly salary amounts a minimum of € 3.493;
- and a maximum of € 5.504;
- (scale 10).
- Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and a individual travel expense package.
