Pieter (co-founder): "We have great traction in The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany but our mission is to make the local service market in the whole of Europe transparent. Our next step is to launch in Spain, which we see as a great opportunity."
**The role**
As a Marketplace Manager, you will build-up and optimize Trustlocal.es. What are the best service categories to launch? What should be the offerings & campaigns to sign up many local businesses (supply)? And what is the right user experience for the user (Demand)? The first months will be all about setting up and preparing the platform for the launch in the Spanish market. In this exciting project, you will work closely with colleagues from different disciplines; Product Management, Developers, Content specialists and Marketeers.In short, a very varied and challenging position, where you can fully utilize both your analytical and creative abilities.
- You get insight into the needs and behaviour of supply and demand in the Spanish market
- Plan, prepare, and set up new categories to launch with the team. Together with the marketing team, you optimize the Go To Market for those new branches.
- You measure and analyse results and continuously optimize based on market knowledge and customer feedback
- With your creativity, you come up with solutions that are translated into improvements and AB tests to enhance user experience and get a higher conversion for both Demand and Supply
- and with all this, you will be the driver behind the creation of the new leading local services marketplace in Spain
**What does your typical day look like?**
It starts with a short daily meeting with your Product and Marketing team colleagues. What do we have to do today? What campaigns are we going to run? What new developments are planned?
Together with the team, you will create a roadmap and work according to your own schedule. It's a multifaceted role, in which you research, conceive, and, together with the team, realize your plans and review the results. Because of the open culture in the relatively small company, we can iterate quickly and you have a lot of influence on the result.
We close off the week together with all colleagues on Friday afternoon. What happened this week? What records have been broken? Great Off to the weekend.
**We are looking for someone who**:
- Truly understands Spanish consumers & cultures and speaks and writes Spanish fluently (C2 level)
- Is available for 32-40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- Has at least 3 years of hands-on experience in product management / online marketing (experience at an online marketplace or online platform is a plus)
- Is solution & results oriented; curious and with strong analytical skills
- Can manage multiple project streams at the same time & deliver output on time
- Great communication skills
- Collaborates well; you work closely with the other disciplines, such as marketing, product, UX design, and content
- Is open to a job where you will have a lot of fun and make an impact
