Advanced degree in business or marketing or engineering

We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager Deals who will lead the commercial and product work streams for the EU Expansion Stores in the Netherlands. The role is based in Amsterdam and reports directly into the Head of Marketplace. The Sr. Program Manager Deals, delivers the annual event commercial strategy and targets in alignment with the business and marketing goals. She/he delivers the specific and strategic commercial goals for each event, planning of the customer proposition and works with deal managers and category teams in the Netherlands, inputs into the P&L and margin targets and control, and balances the multiple inputs and implications of pricing and category mix to deliver against the set targets.
Key job responsibilities
This role includes a high degree of complexity and also financial understanding for the Netherlands store. The role will work across many different teams (e.g. Amazon 1P/Retail, 3P/Marketplace, Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Account Management) in driving large-scale, high visibility projects during peak weeks. The role is responsible for bringing innovation, planning, operational excellence and growth to our largest shopping days and across the multiple initiatives across the year. This role requires a strong analytical understanding, the capability of diving deep into data, and the ability to deliver cohesive commercial propositions across multiple events within the year. You will prepare and contribute to working backwards documents, present to senior leadership team, and work with global teams.
Main challenges in this role combining merchandising, deals, and peak events, and it requires successful influencing of multiple stakeholders (e.g. Tech, Product, Ops, DEX, Pricing, Lifecycle, PR, Ad Sales, Customer Service, Retail, 3P, and AGS to name a few) to deliver results, particularly for deals and events.

About the team
The Sr. Program Manager Deals is expected to play a significant role in Amazon EU Expansion team to create best-in-class Customer experience for the e-commerce store (Amazon.nl) via 1) personalized and targeted merchandising to ensure relevance and drive engagement on-site/in-app, 2) superior deals proposition that delights customers and creates word of mouth (without sacrificing profitability), and 3) a differentiated and memorable peak events calendar to acquire new and engage existing customers.
