Are you curious on how sustainability transitions are formed? Do you want to learn how a strategy is implemented? Then CBI has an internship for you We are looking for an intern strategy and programme coordination at the CBI.

**Intern Strategy and Program Coordination**

You can make a positive contribution at the CBI. Because just like you, we have an ambition: to support developing countries in the transition to inclusive and sustainable economies. As a programme, we do our work with a focus on innovation, inclusivity and gender, climate, and entrepreneurship. Within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) teams, you will learn to play a role in sustainability transitions and project development, and you can connect your interests and visions with our ambition.

**This is what excites you**:

- supporting the implementation of the CBI strategy 2021-2025, which focuses on sustainable transitions (e.g. conducting research into themes such as gender, youth employment and climate; helping to set up collaborations with international organisations; organising dialogues or round tables; preparing presentations);
- supporting the development of the CBI strategy for 2026 and onwards
- supporting the development of and experimenting with methods for sustainable transitions and process development (e.g. conducting research into methods; evaluating methods; writing texts for manuals; devising or contributing to new ways of communicating with target groups via online tools);
- supporting activities in the field of CSR and M&E (e.g. developing our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals; supporting learning sessions; contributing to research into new methods to make our impact visible);
- supporting project development (e.g. by conducting research into export opportunities; contributing to system analyses; helping to write project plans).

- You will be assigned an internship supervisor who can support you in formulating your objectives, questions and developing your competencies;
- Assignments are assigned based on your areas of interest and based on the needs of the organization. And have you become more interested in a particular activity during the internship period? We offer you the freedom to supplement your task package where possible
- Working at CBI means working in an international context, where a balance between development cooperation and international business is central. We believe that a good working atmosphere is crucial. Fun plays an important role in this. We organize activities, such as a pub quiz, outside of working hours. This way you get to know that one colleague in other areas as well.
**Functie-eisen
- You are registered with a Dutch educational institution for the entire internship period.
- You are following an academic education in, for example, economic studies, entrepreneurship, emerging markets, development studies, sustainability studies, transition studies, system or complexity sciences, political science (but other studies are also welcome - surprise us));
- You have an affinity with sustainability, international trade, entrepreneurship and/or development cooperation;
- You have a good knowledge of English in speech and writing;
- We expect you to have a working knowledge of Dutch (speaking and reading) as our general meetings are in Dutch, you do not have to be able to write Dutch.
- Knowledge of French is a plus;

**Stagevergoeding**
Als jouw stage bij het Rijk langer duurt dan één maand. Dan heb je recht op een stagevergoeding. De stagevergoeding is gebaseerd op een vijfdaagse werkweek, waarbij wordt uitgegaan van 40 uur stage (5 dagen van 8 uur) per week. Bij een stage van minder dan 40 uur per week, wordt dit berekend naar evenredigheid van het aantal afgesproken uren.
