**Work Activities**:
Als Instituutssecretaris ondersteun je de directie van AMOLF bij de coördinatie en ontwikkeling van instituutsbreed beleid. Je vervult de secretarisrol in diverse complexe (externe) overleggen, bijvoorbeeld in het overleg met de AMOLF Instituutsadviesraad. Je draagt inhoudelijk bij aan communicatie uitingen op instituutsbrede onderwerpen.

Je werkzaamheden stem je goed af binnen het instituut met de directie, de wetenschappelijke groepsleiders en met betrokken supportafdelingen (o.a. Finances, HR en Secretariaat). Ook onderhoud je goede externe relaties met bijvoorbeeld consortiumpartners, kennisinstellingen, bedrijven en de koepelorganisatie NWO Instituten.

Daarnaast ondersteun je voor ongeveer de helft van je tijd als Program Officer de wetenschappelijke groepsleiders van AMOLF bij de coördinatie en het beheer van grote nationale en internationale subsidieprogramma’s. Denk hierbij onder andere aan het assisteren bij het opstellen van programma-aanvragen, het opstellen van consortium-agreements en hulp bij het schrijven van inhoudelijke rapportages. Intern houd je overzicht van lopende projecten, ben je een aanspreekpunt voor collega’s en ben je de secretaris bij inhoudelijke vergaderingen. Extern onderhoud je contacten met het wetenschappelijke veld en andere partijen in (inter)nationale netwerken.

Je werkt hierin nauw samen met een directe collega binnen het Program Office, samen vormen jullie een team dat hoogwaardige ondersteuning biedt aan het onderzoek dat op AMOLF wordt uitgevoerd. Het AMOLF Program Office is een relatief nieuwe, kleine afdeling die de centrale hub gaat vormen voor activiteiten rond het managen van onderzoeksfinanciering via grote programma’s en het onderhouden van nationale netwerken.

**Qualifications**:
De ideale kandidaat voor deze functie heeft:

- een afgeronde masterstudie of promotie in één van de bètawetenschappen - affiniteit met biofysica of mechanische metamaterialen is een pre;
- een goed ontwikkeld analytisch vermogen, resultaatgerichtheid, accuratesse, en de bereidheid om continu te leren;
- goede redactionele en communicatieve vaardigheden, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk in Nederlands en Engels;
- een zelfstandige werkhouding, met oog voor een goede afstemming met collega’s;
- het vermogen tot het gelijktijdig managen van meerdere taken en projecten.

**Work environment**:
AMOLF initieert en verricht toonaangevend fundamenteel onderzoek aan nieuwe, strategisch belangrijke complexe molecuul
- en materiaalsystemen, in samenwerking met de Nederlandse universiteiten en industrie. De werksfeer wordt in hoge mate bepaald door jonge, enthousiaste, veelal buitenlandse medewerkers. De communicatie is informeel en verloopt via korte lijnen.

**Working conditions**:
Inschaling vindt, afhankelijk van kennis en ervaring, plaats in schaal 10 van de CAO WVOI; maximaal € 5.141 bruto per maand (excl. vakantiegeld en eindejaarsuitkering). Ook de secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden zijn uitstekend. Training on the job en studiefaciliteiten behoren tot de mogelijkheden. Het betreft een voltijds dienstverband van twee jaar, met de mogelijkheid van een daarop volgende vaste aanstelling.
