Within Eneco's international trading department, Eneco Energy Trading (EET), we want to be a top player in the Northern European energy market in the field of delivering flexibility and grid stabilization by using sustainable energy. Within the domain Operations & IT we ensure to efficiently implement the continuous changes in our IT landscape and existing processes that are needed to remain competitive in the energy trading market. In this way, we are prepared to connect as much sustainable energy as possible for now and in the future

Dit ga je doenWithin the Operations & IT department, the Realization team is responsible for facilitating the implementation of projects and new developments in our landscape. The changes are very diverse - from implementing new battery storage systems in our trading portfolio to complying with changes in legislation and regulations. All changes contribute to Eneco's One Planet Plan.

You are a bridge and point of contact for new wishes and ideas towards the teams, projects and your colleagues in OPs/IT. This requires coordination with relevant departments such as commerce, operations, IT and external parties. From the chain-wide consultation structures, you coordinate the activities and ensure that the teams focus on the right priorities at the right time.

You work in close cooperation with the Operations team within OPs/IT to guarantee operational stability and jointly implement new deals (and other features). Examples of projects that you implement are the adjustment of new wind and solar parks, flexible assets and issues in the field of legislation and regulations in new regions or countries.

Under the motto “a step better every day”, you and your analysts are constantly looking for improvements in the operational domain. Examples of this are the role out of robotics, standardization of operational processes, but also the optimal functioning of real-time models and the operational design of the Virtual Power Plant (VPP). You come up with new fresh ideas and such you keep yourself and your colleagues sharp.

Gaat dit over jou?- You have a Master’s degree with a operational and/or technical focus. Also, you have at least 10 years of relevant experience in operation-related activities, energy markets, and/or in IT development.
- You have a mindset of continious improvement - you are flexible pending on the urgent needs.
- You have experience with managing a team and have a passion for people development.
- You are comfortable discussing details with your expert colleagues, as well as communicating your findings in layman’s terms: you act both at strategic, technical and operational level and are able to switch between technical and business stakeholders.
- You have strong communication skill and the ability to pick-up complex topics fast and translate them into practical solutions. You take initiative, you can cope in a demanding trading environment, you can prioritize well, and you can easily connect to people from other departments.- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor- Timely implementation of all new contracts, propositions, IT-driven and regulatory changes: on time, on budget.
- Managing a team of senior professionals, with expert knowledge.
- End-to-end responsible for the implementation in the operational domain as such the entire EET-value stream.
- Conduct all complex non-standard processes as well as well as thorough root cause analysis on operational incidents.
- Handover to the team Operations in close cooperation with the Head of Operations.
- Monitor and develop a vision on market changes affecting our operational domain.
- Develop and implement process improvements focused on the EET operations. Be a role model for Operation Excellence.
