**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**

As a Compliance Officer, you play a crucial role in our compliance department, collaborating closely with other Global Risk and Compliance Community officers. In this independent position, you work directly with legal account managers to ensure that Trustmoore and its clients adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, supervisory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

The definition of ‘compliance’ within Trustmoore extends far beyond mere rules. Our compliance agenda is not solely dictated by regulations; we invest time and effort to ensure that our processes are adaptable and effective in order to understand and manage our risks. As each client presents a unique set of circumstances, we seek a flexible approach rather than relying on rigid procedures and checklists, providing you with a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

This role entails three elements: supporting the Corporate Expansion and the Private Wealth Solution teams in the Netherlands, maintaining the relationship with and preparing reporting for the DNB and contributing to the initiatives of the Global Risk & Compliance community.

You will work in our compliance department in Amsterdam and report directly to the head of compliance. You will maintain our high international standards of business integrity and contribute to our risk and compliance organization in the broadest sense.

Main responsibilities are:

- Providing ad hoc advice and guidance to the financial and legal account managers on the full range of compliance topics, including AML, sanctions, privacy, conflicts of interest, outsourcing, licensing etc.;
- Providing support to the financial and legal account managers and compliance officers with client acceptance and client file reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the client files;
- Assisting with compliance issues during the client’s life cycle (client acceptance due diligence, transaction monitoring, periodic reviews, and exit);
- Assessing regulatory changes on relevance and impact and actioning required changes;
- Providing training and support to the business and other compliance officers to continuously enhance awareness and understanding of compliance risks and regulations;
- Establishing and implementing practical and pragmatic processes and procedures to mitigate compliance risks;
- Guide and oversee the business in their execution of key risk management processes, as it relates to compliance risks;
- Continuously liaise with the head of compliance and management board to ensure appropriate action is taken to address identified issues;
- Be the owner of several group
- and local compliance policies and contribute actively to the development and maintenance of the related control framework;
- Prepare compliance risk reports for the management board;
- Taking part in various projects and working groups and working together with compliance officers of the wider compliance team in other jurisdictions where we operate;
- Act as a sparring partner for other compliance officers and
- Participate in client acceptance meetings, business compliance meetings and compliance management meetings.

**HOW DO YOU FIT INTO THE TEAM?**

As a compliance officer, you manage ad hoc activities next to your daily work. In this position, you need to prioritize what is important, have a hands-on and independent work mentality and thrive in a fast-paced environment. A helicopter view is required. You are proactive, know what you are capable of, possess excellent communication skills and are not afraid to share your opinion or ask questions.

Other relevant qualifications for this profile:

- Legal master’s degree;
- Minimum of seven years of legal / compliance experience in the financial services industry. Experience in the trust sector is preferred;
- Experience with compliance systems and processes; with compliance issues relating to regulatory and governance requirements and curiosity about regulatory developments;
- Understanding of risk management;
- Affinity with integrity, culture and governance requirements;
- Strong generalist who feels motivated by a diverse spectrum of responsibilities;
- Strong organizational and effective communication skills;
- A professional and hands-on work mentality;
- Must be able to work on multiple issues, change priorities, and organize workload;
- Proven team spirit and coaching skills;
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills;
- Self-starting mentality, taking the initiative, and
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (both orally and in writing).
