Are you naturally curious? Would you like to work at a leading law firm? De Brauw is seeking an experienced Business Compliance Officer (AML) responsible for ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing legislation.

In this role, you will be part of De Brauw's AML Unit, which consists of two (AML) Business Compliance Officers. The AML Unit ensures proper compliance with AML legislation, identifies clients and related parties, plays a crucial role in risk assessment and client monitoring, and maintains proper file management. As a Business Compliance Officer, you will have a pivotal role within the organization and in client relations.
The Business Compliance Officer ensures that AML processes and information flows are efficiently structured and executed. You will report to the Compliance Officer and be part of the Risk & Compliance team, which also includes a Compliance & Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer. While the initial focus will be on AML compliance, the role may expand to include other compliance-related matters.

**About the Role**
Your responsibilities include:

- Serving as the daily point of contact for the organization regarding AML matters
- Identifying (and keeping up-to-date), documenting, and archiving client information in accordance with legislation and policies
- Investigating client risks and conducting risk analyses together with fee earners
- Reporting and monitoring client data based on identified risks
- Performing necessary process controls at case level
- Issuing internal reports in case of unusual circumstances and referring to the Compliance Officer
- Monitoring and analyzing new legislation and changes, while providing advisory services on AML-related matters

**Who Are You?**
- Minimum 3 years of compliance experience (including at least 1 year in AML)
- Legal education and knowledge of Dutch law
- Knowledge of AML legislation and related regulations, and experience conducting AML-related investigations
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Results-driven, client-focused personality with problem-solving abilities who thrives in a high-performance culture
- Fluency in Dutch and English
