About you and this role

Dow is looking for an Associate Analytical Technician to join the PS&P Dowlex lab team located in Terneuzen, The Netherlands

The PS&P Dowlex Lab Associate Analytical Technician performs analyses as per sample plan on all produced products, in-process samples and specified raw materials following routine and non-routine analytical test procedures. You support plant Operations, including start-up/shutdown and during plant turn-around with established analytical services.

Quality control data and process control data is entered into a LIMS data base, analyzed and reported. Next to that, you will maintain and verify accuracy of analytical equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure service requests are accurately run, and the data returned as per sample plan.
- Provide input of quality data into LIMS, document and communicate results.
- Responsible for maintaining an injury free workplace. Co-Responsible for EH&S compliance and safe behavior in the lab.
- Compliance with corporate quality methods, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure that all documented procedures are applied as required under ODMS.
- Write, review and update assigned procedures, management of change documentation, and other supporting operating discipline materials.
- Participating in and completing of laboratory training and corporate required training.
- Cooperate and communicate with co-workers and clients to maintain workflow and instrumental information, and to share and leverage problem solving and prevention expertise.
- Contribute to value creation by continuous improvement of procedures in the analytical work processes and related tools and performance metrics.
- Promote a well-organized, responsive, efficient workplace and work well both as a team member and independently.
- Perform non-routine and (unplanned) complex routine analyses.
- Schedule and perform advanced calibrations and first-line maintenance of assigned analytical systems.
- Implement and verify the performance of new equipment and/or methods.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting of analytical systems.
- Help troubleshoot plant and customer problems.
- Continuously improve EH&S and analytical performance.
- After completion of necessary training and acquiring instrument, method and product knowledge, perform on-call services (1 week/5 weeks).

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of a laboratory degree in MBO-4 (vocational).
- Fluency in Dutch and intermediate level in English.
- Experience in operation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting analytical equipment is essential.
- Good lab techniques, methodical record keeping, and the ability to work both independently and with co-workers.
- Excellent human relations, organizational and communication skills are necessary to communicate with stakeholders.
- Exhibit confidence in confirming validity of methods and data.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Preferred qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years industrial laboratory experience is preferred.
